  I am an aviation fanatic! From when I was a toddler even to this day, I still watch aircraft Only difference now is I work helicopters and have 30 plus years in the industry. Once in this position, I help train others in critical thinking - how to work smarter and not harder, deepening their knowledge of the aircraft systems they worked on. I too furthered my qualifications. I worked as Maintenance Control supervisor where I gaining a inept knowledge of aircraft logbooks, planning 160 flight hour inspections (like a progressive Annual Inspection) around the flight schedule including engine oil analysis. Now I work Aircraft Production for Leonardo Helicopters Incorporated. Here too I have worked Avionics installations at first. After proving myself, I work all aspects of the production floor - avionics, mechanical and Structures. I was a Lead on the production floor for over 3 years until our parent company in Italy decided to do away with Leads. Today, I do whatever is need to help keep the line running smoothly. Its not uncommon for me to be string tying wire harnesses and then be asked to "hang" (install) an engine on another helicopter and once that's done be told I need to service the air conditioning on a helicopter needing a flight test....versatile should be my call-sign....lol Sterling Helicopter
