Shavashia is a three time Johnson & Wales Alum where during her time there she spent majority of her time in different on campus activities some of which includes FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), NSMH (National Society of Minorities in Hospitality), Fraternity & Sorority Council and she is a proud Charter member and Fall 2016 initiate of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.-Delta Phi Chapter where she served as Chapter President, Treasurer, Membership Coordinator and the Undergraduate Representative to the Executive Board for the state of North Carolina. In her role as Undergraduate Representative, she created engagement opportunities to improve diversity and improve the relationship between Undergraduate and Graduate members. Shavashia is now continuing her education and is pursuing a PhD degree in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education with Grand Canyon University-Doctoral Studies.
