Shuk Chung’s Expertise Shuk-Wah Chung has had a wide and varied media career as a journalist, communications manager, publicist, content strategist, and radio trainer/operator. As a journalist her stories have featured internationally across radio, print and online for BBC Radio4, Monocle 24 (international, HQ London), Asia Calling (KBR68H, Indonesia), Free Speech Radio News (USA), Huffington Post, The Guardian (Australia), The Age (Australia), The Global Times (China) and others. Her narrative sound work has been featured in exhibitions like the "Australia Project" in Melbourne and Brisbane (2010/11); and "Snake Snake Snake: an exhibition of contemporary Asian-Australian Artists" at Sydney Town Hall for 2013 Lunar New Year. In 2009 she was one of five journalists selected to cover the 6th UNESCO Youth Forum in Paris; and in 2010 covered the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna, Austria. From 2008-2012 she lived in Beijing, China as a reporter for various international media organisations. Keen, curious, and adventurous some of her story highlights include visiting China's only blind orphanage, following China's "millionaire rat-catcher" in Chairman Mao's province, and documenting a Beijing punk band for two years. Shuk-Wah has also worked as a technical operator/producer for the Australian community radio network; an audio/radio trainer for migrant communities in Australia; project manager for a youth radio broadcast; communications at international non-profits WWF-China and Global Citizen; and Social Media Producer at Network Ten. Originally from Sydney, Australia she currently lives in Hong Kong working for Greenpeace International.
