Simon Moskvin’s Expertise A CPA qualified CFO, I offer a strong foundation in end-to-end financial management, risk management, and control that has been enhanced by experience leading significant organisational and cultural transformation across the APAC region. With key successes in divisional finance leadership roles operating at the forefront of accounting and regulatory change, I spent my early career driving financial health, EBIT, integrity, and best practice as a regional financial controller, implementing new standards for 140 Deutsche Bank entities that supported key strategic objectives such as listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Recognised for taking personal accountability for results, I moved through a series of transformational, operational (finance), and executive leadership roles in Sydney, Hong Kong, and Singapore that have provided me with invaluable exposure to risk, governance, people, and performance leadership. My tenure with Deutsche Bank concluded with delivering a 35% efficiency, against a target of 25%, across a multimillion-dollar cost base over two years as Regional COO to Deutsche Bank’s APAC Finance function. More recently, I have leveraged my transformation skills, to developing and building the Group Risk reporting and analytics function at Westpac. This function is responsible for the calculation, reporting and analysis of credit provisioning and credit risk weighted assets, and is a significant area of focus for the bank, regulators, and investor community alike. As part of the transformation, I have uplifted team capability, digitised and automated reports, enhanced the control environment, and implemented improved reporting whilst responding to the challenges presented by COVID-19. I see resilience, perseverance and tenacity as the three critical characteristics needed to provide sound strategic financial & risk leadership in highly complex and matrixed organisations. With skills developed with some of the world’s largest financial institutions, I provide a safe and dependable pair of hands to executive leadership teams. I have built an in-depth understanding of both finance & risk functions and how they can support business performance and deliver improved organisation outcomes. As a leader, I always strive to build a shared sense of purpose. Instilling a risk-based approach, I build adaptable and flexible leadership capabilities that are committed to high-performance standards and continuous improvement.
