Having worked in a start-up, I understand that the team you need at the beginning is not always the team you need for business as usual. As the business changes, you need to review your workforce planning and identify what skills are required to ensure your strategic direction is met. How will you develop your team, retain the best staff, and let those go that are not “on the bus”? I love finding practical solutions that work for both the people and the business – life is already hard enough to overcomplicate it further. Personally, I love a physical challenge and if I’m not ocean swimming (even in Winter), I’m snow skiing or hanging out with my family and friends. Exercising mixed with my morning coffee is what fuels me for the day.
