Steve Castro’s Expertise Professional game developer since 2001, with over 35 released games across iOS, Android, PC and browser. I've recently been making online mobile games with Unity and Python+dynamodb backend, including for WWE, NBA, The Walking Dead, Pacific Rim and more. As co-founder of ClickShake Games, I programmed Ballads of Reemus, Indie Prize winner in 2013 and released on Steam. I programmed Escape the Titanic on iOS/Android for FreshGames, several Flash games for Comedy Central, Sports Illustrated for Kids and other clients. I've advocated for independent game development in the midwest, as founder of the Central Ohio Game Developer Meetup and co-founder of the Ohio Game Developer Expo (now called GDEX). I've also given game dev talks at Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD), GameMinder Expo (GMX) 2013, and the 2012 "Wouldn't It Be Cool If..." event, part of Time Warner Cable's Connect a Million Minds initiative. Before games I had 5 years of corporate business software experience with diagnostic engineering for advanced enterprise multi-user software, database and network support, troubleshooting and defect resolution. I'm well versed in web and database programming from both professional and personal projects.
