Responsible for RCFA leadership and reporting, troubleshooting various instrumentation and electrical problems through inspection specifications and failure criteria. Started predictive maintenance and lubrication programs for all motors in mill.Team Leader. Responsibilities encompass all areas of Test Engineering. Advising and working with engineering team on specifications, methods and applications. Specializing in Research and Development. Expertise in engine assembly and test, gasoline and diesel- cold/hot-test, systems. Test system data collection using time based or angle based (encoder, linear or incremental) data collection. I have worked on axle assembly lines in the gagging area (application and integration of lasers, vision, linear and incremental encoders, strain/load/torque cells, accelerometers, etc…). My knowledge and I were often taken into the sales arena to promote assembly and test systems. I worked with a project from R&D/Concept/Product definition, product mapping, specification and design through to debug and customer (engineer/operator) training. Including waveform analysis/data acquisition and composing training manuals for the customer.Manager of R&D/test lab, model-shop which includes planning, budgeting, scheduling for resources and materials. Create and develop testing methodologies for new and advanced equipment. Create and drive a road map for current and future testing capabilities. Develop standard test procedures globally. Create methods of validation for new systems cross-functionally. Perform IP reviews quarterly, covering new patents, and existing patents that require business case justification. Creating program for HALT/HASS testing (currently running ALT with subsystems). Building a solid platform of reliability.Complete project management including planning, budgeting and scheduling for material and labor. Organize meetings with departments to facilitate and ensure project motion. Lead the project team to execute projects on schedule, at or below budget delivering the contracted scope of work to all applicable codes and standards. Key customer contact for assigned projects. Maintain regular contact with key customer representative(s) ensuring all key project events and issues are documented in writing. Manage project risks including: Assessment and Identification of risks, Develop and Implement Risk Mitigation Plan(s), Forecasting. Project Planning, including develop suitable budget allocations for labor and materials. Project Forecasting, Team Leadership. Deliver maximum customer satisfaction while pro-actively handling customer concerns. Assists Applications Engineering with preparing quotations and customer interaction.Responsibilities encompass all areas of Test Engineering/mentoring/management. Fill in as Test manager when needed. Expertise in testing of gasoline, diesel, hybrid (AC/DC), AC and DC motors and battery (charge/discharge) power-plants, including chassis roll dyno. Testing includes system (entire vehicle) to component (hoses, valves, heat exchangers, actuators, HVAC systems). Build test fixtures using servo-hydraulics (MTS for structural fatigue testing) pneumatic systems and servo actuators. Day to day operations include test fixture design and build, creating test plans, gathering and analysis of data using numerous types of instrumentation. Project planning, project management, project scheduling and mentoring of technicians. Creation and assembly of reports, DVP&R, DFMEA, RCFA creation. Strength, durability, endurance, environmental, impact, NVH (sound and vibration) and various other types. LabView, PLC/HMI and Somat EDaq for control and data acquisition. Several R&D projects including 1 patent.•Develop processes, procedures, test equipment, and tooling used to produce and test final assembly products, related sub-assemblies and new products. •Develop new test systems for new product designs or changes in existing designs; determine calibration specifications, functional and /or environmental test requirements and need for test equipment and fixtures. •Develop, maintain and execute product verification and validation test procedures, test plans, and automated test stations •Specify and/or design factory test equipment; prepare documentation to enable fabrication of test equipment •Establish and manage action plans to communicate schedule and impact of improvement activities •Provide technical assistance and conduct training in the operation and test of new products to test personnel •Prepare calibration and test procedures and related documentation •Monitor progress of tests for validity of test conditions, means of measurement and performance of component or unit in relation to specifications •Provide day to day line support; initiate and implement engineering changes.Laser interferometers for experiments. LabVIEW programming, data acquisition and hardware interface. Complete project management including planning, budgeting and scheduling for associated experiments. FDA testing for portable medical x-ray equipment.Responsible for developing testing procedures and software for test systems. Involved in all areas of test engineering, including concept, electrical, mechanical, application, debug, waveform analysis and engineer/operator training. Responsible for all aspecs of several small projects (Less than $500K).
