Steve Pennell’s Expertise Over 30 years in the industry and the last 16 of those utilizing BIM technologies. I've worked on projects across 4 continents in offices around the world, Johannesburg, London, New York, Sydney, Manila, Hong Kong, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Singapore. I was instrumental in moving Arup Australasia into the 3D/BIM world while in charge of the structural CAD group in Sydney. Some of the award winning projects I've worked on include: Kahlifa Stadium in Doha used for the Asian Games 2006, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalifa_International_Stadium Beijing Aquatic Center for the Beijing Olympics 2008 better known as the Watercube http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beijing_National_Aquatics_Center Aldar Headquarters building in Abu Dhabi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aldar_headquarters_building Guggenheim Museum project in Abu Dhabi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guggenheim_Abu_Dhabi More recently I was working in Perth on the airport expansion and lastly in Singapore where BIM has been mandated by the government authorities. My mantra is to "work smarter not harder" so I'm continuing to push for greater use of BIM technologies. Specialties: 3D modelling, BIM, 4D modelling, Parametric modelling, Bentley Structural Modeller, Generative Components, Tekla Structures, Rhino, Revit Structures I am now based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia working as a freelance BIM Consultant covering South East Asia and Australia.
