Steve Stringer’s Expertise Steve Stringer is a 25+ year veteran of the video game and software development industries. With a unique background blending team management, business, fine arts, and software engineering, Steve is uniquely suited to managing large teams and studios towards the successful and profitable creation of software projects. With a BA from Tulane University and an MBA from the University of Utah, Steve started his career at Unisys creating custom executive reporting systems. In 1995, Steve moved to Los Angeles to work for Activision producing video games starting a career that took him to Electronic Arts and Atari. In 2014, Steve joined the production and team game project faculty at SMU Guildhall, voted the #1 master's program in video game design in the world. Steve specializes in video game production, publishing, business development, esports, and event logistics. In 2018, Steve took over as the Academic Advisor and in 2019 became the Director of the GameLab, SMU Guildhall's development and publishing studio.
