Steven Teuma’s Expertise I have been working within the healthcare industry for the last 11 years. I started as a pharmacy assistant and packing webster packs for nursing homes. Once I completed my HSC I then progressed on to working for a large medical group within the Sydney Metropolitan region where I started out as a junior customer service clerk through to junior accounts clerk and then progressing onto customer service representative and then onto medical receptionists, personal assistant, training officer, occupational health and safety committee chairman. During this time I completed my Bachelor of Nursing degree and now my current focus within the healthcare industry is that on nursing care. As a registered nurse I not only provide holistic nursing care, I also am a patient advocate towards the needs of my patient and to ensure that my patients are cared for to the highest standard throughout their journey. I have a strong passion for education and quality within health care. I currently take on the quality improvement portfolio in my department which entails me conducing various quality audits as well as improving and implementing various policies, procedures and processes.
