At university, Jones served as Creative Director of Coulture Magazine, where he oversaw roughly 150 members across ten departments, and he reported with UNC’s International Project, where he wrote about gentrification and advocacy in Puerto Rico. In his final year at UNC, Jones is hoping to get university approval to create the Hussman Writers Association, an organization set to bring community and networking events to journalism writers at UNC. Before university, Jones began working in broadcast-TV and public relations starting in his sophomore year of high school, and was dually enrolled at a local community college, where he graduated with roughly a year and a half of college credit.
