Having over 25 years’ experience in the nuclear industry, I am proud to have completed a BEng. Honours Degree in Mechatronics with First Class Honours. Following this, I then went on to achieve Chartered Engineer (CEng) status. I keep abreast of developments in my field through membership of the IET and help develop others working in my area through mentoring and knowledge sharing. I am comfortable both working alone and working as part of a team of internal or external personnel, but whatever the task, my high standards of safety and quality do not change. I see teamwork as an opportunity for two-way transfer of knowledge and experience, and believe the use of problem-solving tools and Human Performance techniques to be key to continuous improvement. One of my strongest skills is problem-solving. I enjoy the process of investigating issues in a structured and methodical manner, using evidence and data to lead to a solution to any given problem.
