  My name is Tori. I live in the south side of Chicago. I am a college student at Moraine Valley and my current major is Restaurant/Hotel Management. I switched from Music to my current major this year after being in Music for 2 years. My main objective after receiving my Restaurant/Hotel Management degree is to open my own Coffee and Rock lounge hopefully in Chicago, but I've been traveling outside of Chicago, as well, to find a perfect spot to open my business. I was originally a Music major to obtain my Music Business degree, but realized that doing so would just be a waste of time and is unnecessary. I am, however, a musician and still work on my own projects independently. I plan on hosting live music events, slam poetry nights, and various other forms of entertainments at my lounge. I chased after a job at Starbucks very persistently to gain more experience in the coffee field and to build my own ideas off of drinks that Starbucks has, but giving my own twist to it. I also plan on attending bartending school and obtaining a liquor license to serve alcoholic beverages in my business as well. I am still seeking one or more business partners who share the same or a similar dream as me. I am open to new ideas and would love to connect with new people to make this happen. I want to thank my mentor, my Aunt Felicia for guiding me through my education process. She has both helped me every step of the way in receiving financial aid so I can get an education as well as motivating me to focus primarily on my education before anything else. She has helped me differentiate between positive changes and negative distractions and has really helped me screw my head on my shoulders. If it weren't for her, I would be nowhere near where I am today. I will continue to thank her as I grow more and more successful in the next few years.
