Valaney Moore’s Expertise Hi! I’m Valaney or Val for short and I am grateful that you have taken the time out to view my profile. My time spent in retail has taught me that you must be able to adapt at all times and be quick on your feet. Through me working in retail I have gained the innate ability to connect with people in a way where they feel welcomed and comfortable. I learned how to enhance my leadership skills as well as created ways to help staff develop and grow to take on leadership roles as well. My time in recruitment has taught me that you have to be prompt and have patience. I have learned how to spot key elements in a candidate that will be useful to open positions. I have improved upon how I view candidates and the roles needing to be filled. I have perfected my way of searching for candidates as well as reaching out to them as well. Meeting company deadlines on projects have allowed me to enhance my time management skills and laser my focus on what is most important when it comes to projects. I am passionate about helping those in need. I was raised with emotional intelligence, empathy and the understanding of how important it is to have both. I am mindful of that and practice it in everything I do. Whether working or just out and about I have discovered that the connections built are key to enhancing the human experience. My parents are a key factor in my ability to buckle down and get things done. My mother being a financial advisor has taught me the importance of planning and being 10 steps ahead, as well as making sure the work you do is your best. My dad being a retired Marine has taught me the importance of time and using every second possible to better yourself as well as being on time for everything. Time waits for no one so every opportunity must be taken if it’s something that holds a passion. I am self-taught in a lot of things. I blame the lifelong learning mentality. As the world evolves I believe that we must evolve as well. Learning new things that can enhance our careers as well as our daily lives is something that we all should strive for. From being a freelancer I learned that to be great at what you do you have to be willing to put in the work and do the things that most people do not want to do . I am often looking for ways to improve myself because in my opinion self-care and growth are highly important and necessary if you want to change your mindset and seize moments.
