Yasmeen Hassan’s Expertise Holder of a nutrition professional certificate from AUC, 2016, and selected out of my class to be the director's teaching assistant. Holder of a master's degree in Food Industry, Chemistry, 2015, from the American University in Cairo and a Pharmacy and Biotechnology bachelor's from the German University in Cairo, 2008, I started seeking for pharmaceutical jobs which I found not very appealing to my passion; food. At AUC, I received a fellowship reward while applying for masters for two years; "Laboratory Instruction Graduate Fellowships" and since 2011, I work as a Chemistry teaching assistant. Applied in 2013, for a 4 months internship at PepsiCo (Pepsi Cola Egypt - PCE). By time, the internship was extended to nearly one year. Implemented the Sensory program in PepsiCo's 7 plants from an original plan of 2. An effective training has been given to the 7 plants, choosing active panelists in each and passing the 7 through 'Global Qualification Programs'. The sensory program at PCE was one of the leading across PepsiCo plants in the world, achieving high recommendations from Lori Brustad and Camille Schmied. In Feb. 2014, I was rewarded a 'Study Abroad Grant' and with communication with Environment Canada, in Toronto Ontario, I was accepted as a researcher visitor for nearly 3 months. This opportunity gave me credit to work on a research that is first in Egypt and Africa. And from here, a choice was made yet was hard, leaving PepsiCo. Arriving back by the end of April, 2014, I wrote my thesis and published 2 papers; one in Servier, Total Environment and the other in Chemosphere. Currently, working on my third paper. Attending a conference in California, USA to present my first published paper in November 2015. As a fresh graduate, I worked in the Statistics Centre in Abu Dhabi for 2 years. Then, decided to do some charity work where I was an official volunteer at 'Volunteer in Abu Dhabi' for one year. Founder of "JesSays: Quotes of luv n life" on Facebook.
